“But I thought it was all science?”

Hey,

Its been quite a while since my last blog post. But for whatever reasons it took me so long to post, I will start getting back to a more consistent schedule.

One thing that stood out to me in an ad the other day was a someone trying to sell their health programs by saying “It is all about science.” While this is true, they are missing one key point, Bio-Individuality . Just like a snowflake and fingerprints, we are all different, so when you stop to think about it, it doesn’t really make sense that our bodies will respond the exact same way as other peoples.

A majority of people might all be the “same” for one thing but all be completely different for another. Just because it works for one person does not mean it will work for you. In the words of Joshua Rosenthal “One persons food is another persons poison”. Just as beauty is in the eye of the beholder, so is health. Health varies from person to person. Some people thrive on meat based high protein diets, while others like me thrive on plant based, low protein diets.

Health doesn’t mean eating only brown rice, kale and sunflower seeds, health is so much more. It is more about balance than anything else. We shouldn’t toss out all “bad” food all at once, (Unless medically necessary). Instead we should crowd out, which means crowding out “bad, unhealthy” foods slowly by adding in more “good, healthy” foods.

Not to leave you wondering and wanting more about crowding out but, my next will be a post directed towards crowding out. What exactly it is and examples on how to implement it into your life.

Until next time, have a great week and feel free to leave any questions in the comments and I will get back to you.
